FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation. Founded in Paris in 1951, FIABCI brings together real estate professionals from across the globe, including developers, investors, brokers, architects, planners, legal and financial specialists, and other industry leaders. As an international federation, it serves as a platform for cross-border networking, knowledge exchange and business development, while promoting professional standards, best practices and dialogue across the real estate sector.
A distinctive part of FIABCI’s international role is its relationship with the United Nations. FIABCI obtained UN roster consultative status in 1971 and has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 31 May 1996. This status reflects FIABCI’s recognised expertise in areas connected to sustainable development and allows it to contribute to international discussions within the UN framework.
Through its global network, FIABCI connects markets, people and ideas. It provides members with access to international relationships, global perspectives and opportunities for cooperation, reinforcing its long-standing role as a bridge between local real estate activity and the wider international community.
